Salary: £30,000 Per Year
Hours: Full-time, 35 Hours Per Week, or Part -time for the right candidate.
Contract: 12 months (initially).
Balmacara Community Trust supports sustainable economic, environmental, and social development in Balmacara.
About the Role
Love community life? Enjoy bringing people together and making good things happen? We are looking for a friendly pro-active person to help grow the work of Balmacara Community Trust and support the Old Mill Hall restoration project.
What you will do
• Keep our community updated through Social Media and
other communication.
Support the Chair of BCT with the Old Mill Hall restoration project. Attend site meetings when required.
Connect with local groups, volunteers and partners.
Assist in finding and applying for funding and opportunities that will support our community projects.
Write engaging updates, newsletters and stories about the continuous work of the trust.
Bring people together by helping plan events and activities, you will be supported by a fundraising team which is already in place, as well as our committee members.
Kickstart hall projects and activities once the restoration is complete.
Listen to local voices and to help shape projects based on community needs.
Oversee the smooth running of projects.
What we are looking for
Good project management and basic financial skills.
Someone warm, approachable and great with people.
Brilliant organisational and communication skills, including ICT competency.
Someone who is confident working independently and taking initiative whilst also being a part of the trust team.
There is always support on hand from the Board of volunteers.
Someone who can be flexible and is happy to work from home when needed. (Laptop and phone provided.)
