Head Housekeeper
The Cuillin Hills is a small, family run hotel situated in the heart of Portree, on the Isle of Skye. The Hotel is surrounded by 15 acres of private grounds all of which looks out to one of the most breath-taking views Scotland has to offer.

Responsibilities may include some of the following:
Train and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company standards
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate information, address concerns, and provide ongoing training
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating staff to achieve high performance and maintain morale
Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members
Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations
Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation for all guest rooms and public areas
Conduct regular room inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement
Develop and implement checklists and procedures for room cleaning and maintenance
Address guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally
Ensure all rooms are prepared according to specific guest requirements and preferences
Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow
Monitor staff attendance and punctuality, addressing any issues as needed
Manage staff leave requests and ensure appropriate coverage
Adjust schedules to accommodate fluctuating occupancy levels and special events
Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities
Order and manage stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available while minimising waste
Monitor and control housekeeping expenses, adhering to budget guidelines
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies
Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Skills/Qualities Required:
Excellent attention to detail
Understanding of budgets
Comfortable working independently and leading a team
Clear communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Good level of fitness
Managing confidential situations
